The Ringgold Kiwanis Chapter has had a history of investing into the young lives in our community. When some of our youth demonstrate superlative acheivments, the Kiwanians are eager to spread the good news.

In 2002, the Ringgold High School Wrestling team won the Georgia AAAA State Championship in the traditional Wresting meet, as well as the initial State Wrestling Duals Competition.

After those championships, the Ringgold Kiwanis had 5 highway signs constructed and erected a sign for every entry into the city. Residents and visitors alike could see that Ringgold, Georgia is the home of champions.

In 2004, the Tigers again claimed the AAAA State Wresting Title. Soon after, new signs were ordered and posted. While these signs were being installed on the highway by Kiwanis and Ringgold High Key Club members, a local gentleman approached Kiwanian Jason Boehm and Charles Proctor to predict that the Ringgold Kiwanis chapter "better get ready to buy a lot of signs since the Tigers are expecting to have another banner year."

At the beginning of the 2005 season, the Ringgold grapplers were the No. 1 ranked AAAA Wrestling team, a position that they held all through the entire season and until the state meet when they claimed both the Georgia AAAA State Championship for the Wrestling Duals and the Traditional Wrestling meet.

Just like Mr. Proctor told the man beside the highway "as long as they keeping winning, we'll keep buying the signs. We're proud of those young people and support them all the way."
