Claude Ramsey, Hamilton County Mayor, gave the program during the club's weekly meeting. Also in attendence were several elected officials from Catoosa County and representatives of the Fort Oglethorpe Kiwanis and Ringgold Rotary Clubs.

Mr. Ramsey stressed the need for our respective communities to work together to promote the region, develop our economy and benefit our citizens. He also emphasized the need for a quality education system. Many of the businesses that consider locating to the Chattanooga metro area express the need for an educated, flexible work force.

Mr. Ramsey stated that any new employers we can attract to the area benefit the entire community through creation of jobs and stimulation of economy. While there is great focus on attracting new business to the Enterprise South business park in Chattanooga, the caliber of businesses targeted for that development will bring demand for support industry, very likely to be located throughout the greater Chattanooga metro area.
